Endless Mountain Music Festival
August 2008

The Endless Mountain Music Festival is a regional endeavor to bring world-renowned musicians to our community of northern Pennsylvania and southern New York to enrich the cultural, economic and educational life of the Twin Tiers region.

The festival includes a series of orchestral and individual concerts. One aspect of their educational outreach program is Master Classes. In the Master Class, people at all levels of skill are invited to come and share their talents and to meet fellow musicians. Each class is free to the public and will be headed by one of our guest artists.

Among the guest artists was Michael Sheppard, Piano Master. Mr. Sheppard held a Piano Master Class on Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Wellsboro High School Auditorium. Other guest artists included Terry Klinefelter, Jazz Piano Master & Paul Klinefelter, Bass Master. Please visit Terry's website for more information. She and her husband, Paul conducted a Jazz Master Class on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at the Wellsboro High School Auditorium.

Students are urged to attend one or more of the classes offered at no cost as a part of the Endless Mountain Music Festival. Other master classes include Cello, Violin, Clarinet, and Percussion. Participation is not required as observers may attend these classes as well. Please contact me should you be interested in preparing for next year's event.
