Each student is encouraged to check out the hundreds of available Theory Sheets located at the "Theory Sheet Center".  You can go there, pick any sheet that you'd like and print it out.  Then you can complete the theory sheet at home and bring it along to your next lesson.

First, some instructions that you will need to know:

(1)  You must download a FREE program called Sibelius Scorch.  It will allow your computer to have the ability to view musical fonts and icons. First-time users, go here to download Scorch:
http://www.sibelius.com/products/scorch/index.html
It will place a file on your computer called "InstallScorch".  It is NOT an automatic install - you must find this file and click on it in order to complete the installation process.  I suggest you save the initial file on your desktop so you can find it.

(2)  When printing these FREE sheets, click on the little printer icon on the sheet itself, NOT the print icon on your browser. If you're having trouble with the print window, make sure that at the bottom it says Scale: 100%, Symbols: Default.  That should help with any problems that you may encounter.

(3) Bookmark the following link:  THEORY SHEET CENTER
It will take you just where you need to pick your first theory sheet.  You can choose any sheet at any time, but please take note if there is a specific assignment for you below.  If not - then choose whichever topic or page

(4)  Topics include:  Pitchreading, chords, transposition, key signatures, intervals, etc.  Within these topics are all sorts of fun pages.  Under the topic Pitchreading, for example, you will find speed sheets, sheets with mistakes (oops!), invisible words, 4 letter words (not the rude kind), note fillers, and more!  All courtesy of our good friends at Practice Spot!

(5)  Remember:  Download the Scorch Plug-in, Bookmark the Theory Sheet Center and you are ready to print, complete and bring to lessons!!
