14th Annual Piano Recital

3:00 p.m. Traditional Piano Recital
Sixteen students from Audrey's Piano Studio performed in order by age, beginning with the youngest. Mixed in with the solo performances were duets featuring each of the students playing together or with Audrey.

Intermingled with these performances, the audience was entertained by some other items including duets, poetry by Allison and friends and even a commercial with Zach and Carrie! Cameron surprised the audience, as well as Audrey by bringing along a mystery guest who played along with what could be best described as dueling Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
The program included even more musical talent.... boomwhackers, keyboard, guitar & bass (guest performer, Kurt Baxter), flute (guest performer Erica Yeager), drums (guest performer Jeffrey Kies).... and, of course, the piano!
Our boomwhacker performers were Alexandrea, Sarah, Jena, Christopher, Allison, McKayla, Vanessa, Carrie, Zachary & Brittani.
Vocalists included Alexandrea (singing Row Row Row Your Boat) and Sarah (singing Puff the Magic Dragon) as well as Jenna, a young guest performer (singing This Is It!). Seven year old Sarah returned to wow the audience with Don't Cry For Me Argentina (from the musical Evita), and eleven year old Vanessa did very well with Pieces of Me (Ashlee Simpson).
Our vocalists also included Katie Williams, lead in CV's recent musical, "Annie Get Your Gun", and Megan Oxley, lead in Elkland's recent musical, "Cinderella", singing Brick (Ben Folds), Hello (Evanescence), Existentialism on Prom Night (Straylight Run), Clocks (Coldplay), Listen to Your Heart (D.H.T.), My Immortal (Evanescence), Because of You (Kelly Clarkson). Kurt Baxter, our piano technician, also performed one of his original songs entitled Space/Town/Castle.
Pianists/Keyboardist for the final set list included Stephanie & Katie, Cameron, Katie, Elizabeth, Carrie and Audrey.
